Director's statement

When I conceived of "harmonia:"
I had not seen
my father for 18 years.
In 1995 he put me on a plane
to America. Alone with my sister, full
of youth and vigor I watched land give away to
water. My father vanished into a fogged up memory
soon thereafter. I was to go on a journey of self-discovery
to make sense of a new culture and an age old social dilemma -
what do we need to give up to achieve harmony?
"harmonia:" is an invitation for you to write
your own definition on a piece of paper
before you experience the film, and
then again to do the same after
you have finished watching.
ENJOY!
